Arkansas Economic Development Commission Manufacturing Solutions (AEDC-MS) was established in 1995 and is an affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST MEP) to provide manufacturing extension services to Arkansas manufacturers.

AEDC-MS is a partner in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP). MEP is a nationwide network of non-profit centers in over 350 locations in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. This makes it possible for even small manufacturers to tap into the expertise of knowledgeable manufacturing and business specialists all over the United States.

Companies benefit from the AEDC-MS services through technical feasibility assessments; cost/benefit analysis; training; technology implementation; information transfer and resource partnering. An initial assessment is free. All other services are provided at moderate cost. To obtain more information or access services, companies may contact their nearest project manager or call 1-501-683-4404.

AEDC-MS services are delivered by experienced consultants working directly with Arkansas manufacturers. These AEDC-MS Project Managers are currently working with manufacturers statewide to improve industrial competitiveness. Members of the field staff have diverse backgrounds and proved industry experience. They are strategically located near the state’s highest concentrations of manufacturers. Offices are open in Camden, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, Jonesboro and Little Rock. These offices act as gateways for firms to access AEDC-MS services.
